| Mediterranean flair at the foot of the Southern Alps ! | |
| No architect could possibly have fitted Lake Garda into its landscape any better than nature itself has done. In the northern part, the Alto Garda region, the lake is hemmed in with high, vertiginous cliffs which ensure that, in the right weather system, the lake is almost certain to have wind. | |
| The morning wind, affectionately called Vento or Peler, blows from the north and develops in the mid section of the lake near the charming town of Malcesine to its full potential of Bft 7. In Torbole at this time, the wind is very light, only blowing Bft 1 - 2: this, when combined with the super smooth water, gives perfect entry level conditions. | |
| Then around 12, the unique natural spectacle of a change in wind direction takes place, as the wind all of a sudden changes from north to south and then blows in Torbole with up to Bft 6. This is great for all intermediate, advanced and professional sailors - it is hardly surprising to know that in some parts of Torbole, the freestyle level is as high as the World Cup. Further, Vasco the owner of the Station, was one of the top sailors on the World listing so it is obvious that he and David and his team will help you progress your windsurfing career in a way that is both professional and ambitious. | |
